Rather than assigning formal speeches to a wedding party, we’ve chosen to create a short, curated reflection segment during the evening — one that allows space for sincerity, preparation, and a range of voices from our community.
We are inviting guests who feel moved to do so to request consideration to share a brief, written reflection during this portion of the celebration.
This is not an open microphone.
It is a planned and intentional moment within the evening’s flow.
We’re drawn to the idea of hearing from people across different chapters of our lives — chosen family, longtime friends, mentors, and loved ones — in a way that feels grounded, respectful of time, and aligned with the calm, celebratory tone of the evening.
Reflections might include:
a short story
a memory
a perspective on love, partnership, or community
a few thoughtful words you’d like to share with us
To preserve the rhythm of the evening, all speakers will be selected in advance and scheduled into a fixed time block.
If you’d like to be considered:
remarks should be written ahead of time
reflections should be brief and intentional
We’ll review submissions thoughtfully and follow up directly with those selected, including confirmation of speaking order and timing.
We would truly love to hear from everyone, but the structure of the evening means we’re working within real time limits.
Submitting a request does not guarantee selection, and we appreciate your understanding in advance. This approach allows us to hold space for reflection without sacrificing the ease and flow of the celebration as a whole.
If you feel called to contribute in this way, please use the form below.
We’re grateful for the thought, care, and intention this takes — and for the many ways each of you shows up in our lives, spoken or unspoken.
