We will be dressed in suits and guests are invited to wear polished, celebratory attire that feels comfortable and authentic to them.
Early April in Austin typically brings mild spring weather with average highs around 69°F and lows near 48°F. That said, Texas weather has a mind of its own — last year it reached 97°F in mid-March — so we recommend dressing in light layers to stay comfortable throughout the evening.
Austin is generally a relaxed and informal city. While we’ll be dressed up, there’s no expectation of strict formality — we encourage you to lean into whatever feels most like you, as long as it feels festive and intentional.
You may also notice a number of guests wearing traditional Indian attire. If you happen to have something in your closet you’ve been meaning to wear, please feel more than welcome — you won’t be alone. And if the idea of finding something special sounds fun, we’d be happy to point you in the right direction.
Weather permitting, we will kick off the evening with an outdoor cocktail hour on the distillery patio. The celebration will take place primarily indoors, with opportunities to step outside into an adjacent outdoor space throughout the evening.
Spring weather in Austin can be variable. While late March is generally mild, temperatures can shift between daytime warmth and cooler evenings. We recommend checking the forecast closer to the date and dressing accordingly.
We would love to have every single one of you join us in our celebration but due to some logistical constraints, we are only able to accommodate guests who have been specifically named on the invitation. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the gathering intimate.
Children are welcome only if they are specifically included on the invitation. The little ones who have been part of our lives and will be joining us include Dean, Cameron, Dorothy, Elouise, Shaan, Jayven, Ari, Posey, Josephine, Cecily, Vivienne, Lucy, Nora, and Daisy — children who we’ve been fortunate to see regularly and grow close to. We kindly ask that invitations be taken at face value and thank you for helping us maintain the intended balance for our gathering.
Guests can expect a relaxed, thoughtfully paced celebration. The brief ceremony will be followed by a reception and dinner at the same location allowing everyone to remain present and enjoy the evening without transitions or travel between events. Please feel free to review the detailed schedule on our website for exact timing.
We want our celebration to feel relaxed, joyful, and flexible, so there’s no strict arrival time. Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 4-5pm for cocktails and light bites, giving you a chance to mingle, explore the venue, and settle in. But you don't want to miss the opening band; they're fantastic.
The ceremony will begin around 5pm — short, intimate, and casual — followed by dinner and toasts from family and friends. Once dinner concludes, the evening will transition into dessert and dancing, where guests are free to celebrate, move between spaces, and enjoy the night at their own pace.
This flow allows us to balance a sense of formality with ease and comfort, giving everyone time to connect, relax, and witness the celebration of our love without feeling rushed. In the spirit of our wedding theme, the evening invites you to step into a state of stillness and presence, savoring each moment, each conversation, and the simple joy of being together.
Following the reception, guests are invited to continue the celebration on Rainey Street, conveniently located near the affiliate hotels. Details will be shared on the Schedule page closer to the wedding date.
